Provider Network

 
Our extensive pharmacy provider network offers you the freedom to choose from more than 900 pharmacies in Puerto Rico and tens of thousands in the U.S. to fill your prescriptions. Learn which pharmacies are close to your home and the places you travel. PICA has contract with pharmacies that equal or exceed CMS requirements for pharmacy access in your area. We also list pharmacies that are in our network but are outside of Puerto Rico, Vieques, and Culebra. We will fill prescriptions at non-network pharmacies under certain circumstances. Please check first with Member Services to see if there is a network pharmacy nearby.
 
What is the difference between a Network Pharmacy and an Out-of-Network Pharmacy?
Network Pharmacy - A pharmacy where members of our Plan can get their prescription drug benefits. We call them "network pharmacies" because they contract with our Plan. In most cases, your prescriptions are covered only if they are filled at one of our network pharmacies.


Out-of-Network Pharmacy - A pharmacy that does not have a contract with our Plan to coordinate or provide covered drugs to members of our Plan. Most drugs you get from out-of-network pharmacies are not covered by our Plan unless certain conditions apply. Please see the Evidence of Coverage for more information or call us.
